Association Management Services

Sylvester Management Corporation (SMC) provides assistance in meeting planning and support, ongoing management services and continuity of headquarters.

Because each organization has unique strengths and needs, we are pleased to offer customized services that will work for you.

Our technology capabilities are tops, assuring that you’ll have the most current management and database software, internet access, budgeting and financial services, and online registration.  We’ll manage your web site, and help you maintain the most current information for accuracy and timeliness.

Our specialty is business-to-business partnerships, enabling our clients to call on us as needed.  We’re experts in our business – you’re experts in yours.  Our services allow you to do what you do best – serve your clients.

These are the services in which we specialize:

Meeting, Conference and Convention Planning.
As independent meeting management consultants, SMC offers professional planning that will allow you to pursue your real business in a face-to-face environment.  Planning may include: site selection and negotiations, meeting requirements analysis, budget development, program development, housing and meeting registrations, on-site management, teleconferencing when appropriate, and trainers and speakers.

Association Management.
Associations exist to keep their members in contact with one another as well as to provide a strong, unified group with POWER!  Often, association officers are volunteers whose “real” jobs require enormous energy and time commitments.  Association management services may include:  permanent offices, membership services, meeting management, computer support, web site management, record-keeping, newsletter and member-to-member communications, public relations, and accounting services.

Non-profit and Foundation Management.
Non-profits and Foundations require careful documentation, frequent communication among members, and budgeting to meet guidelines from donations and membership.  Here, too, non-profit officers are often volunteers with a passion for the non-profit, but limited time to devote to its day-to-day operation.  Non-profit management services may include: forming the non-profit, filing to meet all regulations, permanent offices, membership services, meeting management, computer support, record-keeping, newsletter and member-to-member communications, web site management, public relations, and accounting services.

Trade Show Management.
Trade Shows can be extremely profitable events for an industry, association, or organization.  Because trade shows require a complex balancing act among exhibiting vendors, attendees, auxiliary conferences, and facility management, skill and experience are required for a successful Show.  Trade Show Management services may include: site and hotel negotiations, floor layout, exhibit sales, conference development, public relations, attendee registration, printed guides, and accounting.

Training and Educational Seminars.
Our training and educational seminars may seem effortless, but that’s only because our years of experience have taught us how to cover all aspects of seminar planning to ensure a smooth, successful presentation.  We handle everything but the content, so you can concentrate on building a powerful program.  We’ll assist with teleconferencing as well.

Strategic Planning  Services.
Strategic planning makes you pro-active, not re-active to what business forces send in your direction.  Through careful, in-depth analysis of your organization’s goals and objectives, face-to-face meetings with key staff, and long-range planning, we’ll help ensure your success, a positive cash flow, and an optimum atmosphere to achieve desired results. Comprehensive marketing plans, and training are also available.

Non-Profit and Foundation Management Services

Non-profits and foundations exist to serve a common cause or concern.  Regulations are strict, and record keeping is demanding and precise.  Unlike for-profit organizations, budgeting must match proposals and guidelines with a precision requiring constant vigilance.

Non-profit or Foundation officers are often volunteers with a passion for the non-profit, or a link to the Foundation, but limited time to devote to its day-to-day operation.  Or, the organization may be functioning well with full-time staff and location, but needs assistance in planning an annual convention, or membership meeting.

That’s why we offer an “a la carte” menu of services so that you can choose what’s needed for your organization.
